He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearlie Russell and Sallie M. Oden; grandparents, Deacon Gleamon Oden, Sr. and Myra B. Oden.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories a wife, Bessie Brumfield Oden; three children, MarQus Danyell (Cynthia) Oden of Sacramento, CA; Christopher Lauderdale of Sylacauga, AL; and Ariana Oden of Modesta, CA; two brothers, Victor Bryon (Tanya) Reese and Stanley Russell both of Sylacauga, AL; two sisters, Brenda Oden DuBose of Sylacauga, AL; and Michelle McGhee of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Dasha Oden, Camero Oden, Nicolas Oden, Unique Oden, Aaliyah Lauderdale, and Dontavius Lauderdale; a special nephew, Christian; nephews, Corey Oden, Justin Reese, Khori Shahaan Oden; nieces, Saldamesha Swain, Victoria Reese, Maya LaSal Reese, and Kaisha Oden; a special cousin, Debra Oden (Robert) Hatten; and a host of other relatives and friends.
