Dave (T) Battle

Childersburg, AL – Mr. Dave "T" Battle was born May 9, 1941 in Talladega County, Alabama. To the parentage of the late Early and Willie Battle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Ree Battle, seven sisters, and three brothers.

Mr. Battle united with the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.  He worked at Avondale Mills and Bates Enterprise until he retired.  He loved playing the guitar.  He also was a dedicated choir member, and devoted deacon.

Mr. Battle departed his life on December 14, 2018 at Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, AL.

He leaves to cherish his memories five loving children, Shelia Battle of Birmingham, AL; Gail Battle, Teresa Battle, Renee (Willie) Brown, all of Childersburg, AL; and Bridgette (Michael) Crayton of Sylacauga, AL; one sister, Bettye (Lawrence) Calhoun, of Alpine, AL; three brothers, Herbert Battle, Early (Dorothy) Battle both of Sylacauga, AL; Pearly (Louise) Battle of Childersburg, AL; special nephew, Quail Kirkland; his music playing partner of sixteen years, Brittany Shephard; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. .
