Mr. James Edward Harris was born on November 25, 1942 to the late Charlie Harris and the late Tessie Jordan.
Returning back to Sylacauga from Cleveland, Ohio, he accepted Christ and united with Rising Star Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama, where he was a faithful member until his health started to fail.
He attended East Highland High School in Sylacauga, Alabama. His hobby was fishing and driving. To know him was to Love him.
He was employed with Gantt Quarry in Sylacauga before moving to Ohio where he was employed as a cook with a Catholic Church feeding the homeless.
Mr. Harris departed this life on December 4, 2019 at Brookwood Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Harris, step father, Reese Jordan, Sr. And mother, Tessie M. Jordan; brother, Charles E. Harris, sisters, Lucille Jordan, Recille Hall and Gracie Jordan.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his daughter, Janice Harris of Ohio; brother, Reese (Lorine) Jordan, Jr. of Sylacauga, AL; sisters, Blanchie Jordan of Ohio; Mary M. Williams, Mary F. Jordan and Sharon (Dennis) Gaddis all of Sylacauga, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
