Lavern (Curry) Buie

Ms. Lavern Curry Buie was born on June 9, 1949 in Talladega, AL to the late Mr. Arthur Curry and late Mrs. Eva Lou Swain Curry.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Arthur Curry, mother, Mrs. Eva Lou Swain Curry, brothers, Arthur Curry, Jr. and Henry Arthur Curry.

She was a long term member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.  

She worked numerous years for Chicago Postal Service and retired from Parchman Correctional Facility in Parchman, Mississippi.

On SUnday, March 3, 2019, Ms. Buie departed her earthly life at the Talladega Health Care Facility in Talladega, AL.

She leaves to cherish her memories one loving son, Travis Jovan (Lisa) Foney of Jacksonville, AL; five sisters, Elsa Houston of Anniston, AL; Pearl (Davis) Dutcher of Port Republic, Maryland; Shirlean Tuck and Debra Liggins both of Grayson, GA; Helen (Curtis) Calhoun of Alpine, AL; one brother, Arthur Perez Curry of Huntsville, AL; one sister n law, Linda Jean Curry of Childersbrug, AL; two aunts, two uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
