Lillie Scott Obituary

Mrs. Lillie W. Scott was born on April 24, 1930 to the parentage of the late Minor and Susie Wright. 

Mrs. Scott accepted Christ at an early age.  She was a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church, Childersburg, AL.  Mrs. Scott was a servant of God, was faithful in Sunday School, and assisted in teaching when possible.  She was the president of the Enon Usher's Board, for a period of time.

She was voted for Enon Missionary Baptist Church Missionary Society President, she accepted the position.  She worked faithfully with all the Auxiliarus Matrons, Crusaders, Red Circle, and Sunbeams.  She loved everyone and could give you instructions and guidelines on the Word of God. 

Ms. Scott attended Phyllis Wheatley High School from 1936 to 1948 where is graduated.  She was employed at Davis Steakhouse for 14 years where she served as manager.  She served as manager at River Terrace Seafood until her health failed.

Mrs. Scott departed her life on May 2, 2019 at her residence, Childersburg, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Minor and Susie Wright; Husband, Frank Scott; two daughters, Susie and Pearlie Wright; one son, Raymond Wright; three sisters, Pearl Porter, Mary Marbury, and Frances Moore; and two brothers, Patrick Wright and Elbert Wright.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Willie Wright of Childersburg, AL; and Ben (Glenda) Wright of Sylacauga, AL; two step-daughters, Patricia (John) Coleman and Lillie Scott both of Childersburg, AL; five God daughters, Alice Faye Wilkerson of Sylacauga, AL; Nina Faye (Eugene) Marbury and Gloria Jeffries both of Childersburg, AL; Ann Johnson of Rochester, New York; and Angela (Jeffery) Budish of Albany, New York; one God son, Clayton (Jeanetta) Jews of Vandiver, AL; one brother, Daniel (Marylin) Wright of Ashville, North Carolina; 53 grandchildren and 84 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, a special caregiver, Linda Gail Lee, other relatives and friends.
