Mary Jane Mallory

Sylacauga, Alabama - Ms. Mary Jane Mallory was born to the parentage of the late George W. Mickey and Cora Mickey, on December 20, 1914 in Alpine, Alabama.

 Ms. Mallory departed this walk of life on June 2, 2018 at Sylacauga Health & Rehab, Sylacauga, AL

 She was united in holy matrimony to Lewis Mallory to this union seven children were born. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, John Mallory (Plainfield, New Jersey), James Mallory (Birmingham, Alabama), two daughters, Mary Lou Mallory (Jackson, Mississippi), and Joyce Faye Mallory (Childersburg, Alabama). 

 She leaves to cherish her loving memories two devoted daughters, Cora (Larry) Leonard of Sylacauga, AL; and Barbara Ann Harvey of Childersburg, AL; one son, George E. Mallory of Childersburg, AL; twenty four grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren; two siblings, Jessie (Francis) Mickey and Georgia Belton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree.  I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me.  Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.  The good life I lived while I was strong.  Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.  Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.  My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.          Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.  Continue traditions, no matter how small.  Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls.  I miss you all dearly, so keep up you chin.  Until the day comes we’re together again.
