Paul Harris, Sr.

Mr. Paul Harris, Sr. began his life’s journey on August 28, 1937, to the parentage of the late Mr. Paul Goggins  and the late Ms. Minnie Lou Phillips in Alexander City, Alabama. 

           Mr. Harris was united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Tessie Wright with whom he spent the last fifty years .  Shortly after marriage, Mr. Harris began attending the St. John Baptist Church where he was an active member until he became ill. 

The angel of death arrived at his home early Friday, morning April 12, 2019 to escort Mr. Harris through the pearly gates to his eternal resting place.

He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, a loving wife, Tessie W. Harris of Sylacauga, AL; six children, Mavis Harris of Alexander City, AL; Beverly Woody of Cleveland, OH; Michael (Elizabeth) Harris of Alexander City, AL; Paul (Tina) Harris of Sylacauga, AL; Roland Scott Harris of Birmingham, AL; and Paula Candida (Keith) Robinson of Jacksonville, AL; sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, & nephews and other relatives and friends.
