Rev. Sidney Ray Bush was born on March 17, 1952 in Vincent, AL to the late Mrs. Mable Bush Harris and the late Mr. Sidney Bush, Jr.
Rev. Bush attended School in Shelby County, AL. He worked for Riverside Factory for thirty-eight years until his retirement.
Rev. Bush united in holy Matrimony to Elizabeth Hamilton on February 14, 1978. He never met a stranger, wherever he went he was spreading the Word of God. He also loved fishing in his spare time until his illness.
He received Christ as his savior and became a member of Mt. Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Bush accepted his calling and was ordained as a minister on July 13, 2003.
God saw that the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. He closed his eyes and whispered peace be thine, on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham, AL.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories a loving wife, Elizabeth H. Bush of Childersburg, AL; three sisters, Alice Harris Dates of Vincent, AL; Franky Harris of Chattanooga, TN; and Ernestine Holyfield of Birmingham, AL; three brothers, Rev. Adam (Diane) Harris of Sylacauga, AL; Rev. Ernest Harris, Jr. of Sylacauga, AL; and James (Cynthia) Bush of Alpine, AL; one aunt, Eva M. (Tom) Patterson of Demopolis, AL; one uncle, John D. Foster of Sylacauga, AL; one brother in law, Homer (Rosie) Hamilton of Sylacauga, AL; host of nieces and nephews, a special nephew, Michael Dates; a special cousin, Alexis Ware; Godson, Joshua Hall; and a host of other relatives and friends.
