Rev. William Franklin Borden, Sr.

William Franklin Borden Sr. was born December 16, 1947, in Sylacauga, Alabama, to the union of Mr. Arthur and Sallie Mae Borden.

William confessed Christ as his Lord and personal Savior at an early age at the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was involved in the church. He sat under the teaching and preaching of Rev. S.C. Bolton. He was the founder and pastor of the New Life Outreach Ministries Sylacauga, Alabama. He really loved the Lord, playing the bass guitar, singing, preaching and teaching the word of God, and taking care of his family as well as others. He lived a fulfilling life as a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

On Tuesday December 18, 2019, William answered the Master's call at St. Vincent’s Hospital. In the presence of family he gained his wings and was summoned to Heaven. God in His special way, at His perfect time, picked from our midst this sweet soul and added him to His heavenly garden where his spirit will bloom forever.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Borden; mother, Sallie Mae Borden; brother, David Fluker.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife: Katie (Youngblood) Borden; children: William BordenJr. (Shelia), Doreta Borden, Wendy (Meldric) Wilson, Calandrise (Skylar) Patterson, Ashley Borden all of Sylacauga, Alabama and Christopher Lee Borden of Baltimore, Maryland; one God-son: Lakeon Holley of Sylacauga, Alabama; brothers: Willie Ray (Della) Wilson, Bennett Borden, Ray Charles (Maurine)Borden, Willie Lester Borden all of Sylacauga, Alabama, Melvin (Lori) Borden of Vienna, Georgia, and Anthony (Sheryl) Borden of Rockford, Alabama; sisters: Pearlie Mae (Otis) Hope of Gadsden, Alabama, Bessie Borden of Chelsea, Alabama, Pamela Dukes of West Palm Beach, Florida, Iris Borden, Pearline (Grover) Embry, and Diane Fluker all of Sylacauga, Alabama; grandsons: Darious (D’Jondra) Borden, Cameron(Shanita) Borden, Dorian Jackson, Caleb Storey, Corbyn Patterson, Joshua Storey, Kamdyn Patterson all of Sylacauga, Alabama; granddaughter: Skylar Grace Patterson of Sylacauga, Alabama. Great grandson: Dai’lynn Borden of Sylacauga, Alabama; great-granddaughters: Dai’Vany and Dai’laina Borden all of Sylacauga, Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and church family the New Life Outreach Ministries Sylacauga , AL.
