Richard Staten

Mr. Richard Staten was born October 7, 1935 to the late Ophelia Datcher in Guntersville, Alabama.

At a young age he confessed Christ as his savior.  He was a member of Faith Whole Truth under the leadership of Bishop David L. Norwood where he served as a deacon until his health decline

He was a dedicated employee at Georgia Marble for twenty plus years until he retired. He was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Mr. Staten departed his life on April 15, 2019 at Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, AL.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Regina Staten, and Phyllis Staten; one grandson, Cameron Looney; one brother, Robert Jennings; special cousin, John (Mary) Fennell; special niece, Erica Wilson; special grandchildren, Aaliyah Looney, Jasmine, Nivea, Adasha and Aburay Wright, Makia Powers, Tiara, Trazayvion and Tra’mone Moten, Shenequia Lauderdale, and friend Monty O’Neal and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends that he loved with all his heart.
