Rita Ann Holt

On a breezy Monday afternoon in September I was born to Mr. & Mrs. Hardy & Annie Holt.  I was given the gift of life and now I give it back. 

On February 4th, 2018 Rita journeyed home from her parents’ house in Titus, Alabama and now resides in her new residence alongside her Lord & Savior.

An angel has gone home to be with her heavenly Father.  Her journey now complete, her death as private as her life.  Rita accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Equality, Alabama.  She graduated from the Southern Business College in Birmingham, Alabama and decided to make Birmingham home.  Rita was recruited by the Internal Revenue Service where she was employed for almost 40 years.   In Birmingham Rita became a member of Sardis Missionary Baptist Church. She led a life of service to her Country and servitude to her LORD.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving parents Hardy & Annie Holt;  Seven siblings, Gloria Holt of Birmingham, Alabama, Stanley Holt of Titus, Alabama, Jerry Holt and his wife Angela of Birmingham, Alabama, Cathy Costley and her husband Mark of Jacksonville, Florida, Steven Holt and his wife Nicole of Wetumpka, Alabama, Harvey Holt and his wife Wanda of Wetumpka, Alabama,  Marcus Holt of Millbrook, Alabama;  Special friends, Andrea Foreman and Eula Tillety (Lette);   Five nieces; Five nephews, three great nephews, a god child, as well as a  host of aunts, uncles, cousins, church members, extended family and friends.
