Robert L Green, Sr.

Mr. Robert L. Green Sr. was born on September 27, 1934 to the parentage of the late Ella Kelley and Rudolph Green.  He was reared by step father Sam Kelley.

Mr. Green departed his walk of life on May 25, 2019 at his residence in  Sylacauga, AL.

He worked thirty-six years at Avondale Mills, Sylacauga, AL until his retirement.  He enjoyed fishing, playing baseball in his younger days and hunting. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, Billy Wayne McMillian, Troy Morris and Robert L. Green, Jr.; three brothers, Orzell Green, Dizzy Green, and Jimmy Green.

Mr. Green leaves to cherish his loving memories a loving wife, Hertha S. Green of Sylacauga, AL; four daughters, Peggy Pope, Cassandra (Julius Tyson of Dayton, OH; Diane Green of New York; and Pamela Norris; one son, Anthony Green of Sylacauga, AL; two brothers, Adisa (Ramona) Ajamu of Hampton, VA; and Jeremiah Green of Bellaire, OH; and a host of grandchildren, great– grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
