Mrs. Annie Louise Jackson Cook was born on September 20, 1944 to the parents of Mr. Willie B. Jackson and Ruby Ashley Jackson. Mrs. Cook, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Birmingham, Alabama, and later united with Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama.
Mrs. Cook received her education and graduated from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, Birmingham, Alabama. Mrs. Cook was employed with Russell Mills Corporation, Sylacauga, Alabama until her retirement.
Along Mrs. Cook’s life’s journey, she met and united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Leroy Cook.
Mrs. Cook departed this walk of life on May 13, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie B. Jackson and Ruby Ashley Jackson, brother, George Jackson, sisters, Beluah Sheppard Archibald, Willie Mae Sheppard, Minnie Lee Jackson, Betsy Joyce Ann Jackson, and Mildred Sue Jackson, grandson, Marlin D. Bennett, father-in-law, Jeremiah Fuller, mothers in laws, Lillie Mae Harvey and Inez Fuller.
Her love will forever be cherished by her loving husband of 57 years, Leroy Cook of Sylacauga, AL; loving children, Marcellus Jackson of Talladega, AL, Tracey Cook of Sylacauga, AL, Velma (Gus) Jenkins of Upper Marlboro, MD, Christie (Lamar) McKenzie and Christopher Twyman, both of Talladega, AL; Goddaughter, Dana Green of Sylacauga, AL; sister, Hester L. Cook of Jonesboro, GA; brother, Willie B. (Judy) Jackson of Tyler, TX; special brother in law, John (Gladys) Cook of Goodwater, AL; like a son, Anthony (Elisha) Fuller of Cleveland, OH; special friends, Betty Wilson and Linda Cook both of Sylacauga, AL; grandchildren, Jonika Garrett and Marchel Garrett, Cor’Torreus Twyman, Parker Jenkins and Preston Jenkins, Christopher Millender, Quadre Twyman, and Rashad Twyman, Dmontae Holtzclaw, and Braylon Jace Green; great grandchildren, ZaCorrion Twyman, Kyrie Joyner, Destiny Keller, Jakyler Miller, Syklar Miller, Princeton Miller, Kathan Miller, Chanel Twyman, Amaria Twyman, and Armoni Twyman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
