Annie Marie Crawford McKenzie began her earthly journey in Sylacauga, Alabama on December 21, 1947. Annie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
Annie invited God into her life at an early age. She attended Beulah First Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. Later she became a member of Tallassahatchie Missionary Baptist Church in Childersburg, Alabama.
Annie departed this walk of life on March 12, 2025, under the care of Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margie Butler, siblings, Diane Goodwin, Delores Martin, Larry Butler, and William Butler.
Annie leaves to cherish her loving memories a loving husband, Edward Wayne McKenzie; three daughters, Terriyan Butler, Miko Davis, and Regenia Davis; a loving bonus daughter, Tequila McKenzie; fourteen loving grandchildren, Torryin (Randi) Butler, Devin Davis, Shawndrea Butler, Jamie (Sharonda) Davis, Darius Miller, Breanna Davis, Pashanique Davis, Terrance Miller, Dajai Hart, Jewan Butler, Dailon Davis, Takhija McKenzie, Malik Borden, and Gabriella McKenzie; Annie leaves behind, twenty one great grandchildren, three sisters, Margie Swain, Barbara Davis, Jacquelyn Burries, and a special sister, Mary Vincent; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Annie’s legacy of kindness and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
