Sylacauga, Alabama - Annie Pearl Crowe-Sterns was born on October 17, 1944, in Coosa County, Alabama, to the late N.C. Crowe and Hazel Lee Vincent Crowe. She peacefully departed this walk of life on January 31, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Annie received her education at Phyllis Wheatley High School, where she also nurtured her love for music while studying under the guidance of Mrs. Taylor. Her passion for song and worship would remain a meaningful part of her life.
At an early age, Annie accepted Christ and became a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. Her devotion to the church was evident through her years of service as a member of the Senior Choir, President of the Youth Choir, and President of the Matrons. She was a woman of strong faith whose life reflected love, service, and commitment to God and community.
Annie was a dedicated and hardworking employee of Russell Mills, where she served faithfully for over 25 years until her retirement. Her work ethic and reliability were admired by all who knew her.
Above all, Annie was a devoted mother, cherished friend, and a pillar of strength to her family. She was well loved by her community and remembered as sweet, kind, witty, humorous, and fun-loving. She found joy in reading her Bible, listening to gospel music, singing, sewing, and baking—often sharing her talents and warmth with others.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, N.C. Crowe and Hazel Lee Vincent Crowe; her brothers, R.C. Crowe and Donald Earl Crowe; and her sister, Fannie Crowe Patterson.
