Mr. Belvin Crawford, the son of Henry and Bessie Crawford, was born on April 6, 1969, in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was called home by his Heavenly Father on June 5, 2025.
Belvin accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Early Rose Baptist Church.
He was the fourth of five siblings. He grew up learning the value of hard work, protection, and loyalty—carrying a generous heart from a young age. He graduated from Sylacauga High School in 1987 and went on to spend over 20 years as a dedicated blue-collar worker, employed at Imerys Quarry and the Anniston Army Depot.
Belvin found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was always the life of the party and never missed a chance to have a good time. He had a deep appreciation for family history, a passion for fishing, and a love for sports and cooking. Nothing brought him more pride than preparing and cooking fish—his favorite meal—often multiple times a week.
More than anything, Belvin loved being surrounded by his family and friends. His presence brought warmth and joy to every room he entered. His laugh was infectious, his stories unforgettable, and his signature sayings legendary.
Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Esco Crawford and Earline Kelly Crawford and maternal grandparents Jack Smith and Lucille McElrath Smith.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories with his beloved children, Demetria Teague, Jessica Crawford, Ashley (Quinderis) Wood, Brian Nix, Jonathan Crawford, Malik Crawford, Genesis Kendrick, and Paris Crawford; grandchildren, Arryonna Simmons, Brian Nix Jr, Logan Price, Kylie Crawford, and Amari Kendrick; parents, Henry and Bessie Crawford; siblings, Sonya Crawford, Derrick (Kym) Crawford, Trence (Janean) Crawford, and Renatta Crawford Baulding; aunts and Uncles, Dorothy (Lee) Garrett, Alvin (Maxine) Crawford, Margaretta (Jackie) Wheeler, James (Rhonda) Crawford, Voncille Waller, and Sandra Benson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
He will always be remembered for his kind heart, love for others, and contagious laughter.
