Billy Carl Lawson Obituary

Vincent, Alabama - Billy Carl Lawson journey of life began on August 18, 1961 in Shelby County, Alabama.  He was the beloved son of Booker T. Bruno and Voncille Lawson who both preceded him in death. 

Billy was educated in the public-school systems at Vincent Middle\ High School.  After completing his education, he was employed with Saginaw Pipe Company, Inc, in Alabaster, Alabama for over 30 years of service.

Billy departed this walk of life on May 31, 2025, under the care of Arabella Health and Wellness of Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kimberly Lawson, one sister, Sheila Bruno, brothers, Stanley Bruno and Alvin Bruno. 

He leaves to cherish his loving memories six children, Bonnie Lawson, Breonna Crumb Lawson both of Alabaster, AL, Vanity Powell of Michigan, Sadarius Lawson of California, Jerel Lawson and Jermal Cohill both of Sylacauga, AL; brothers, Lleuiellyn (Lenita) Bruno of Vincent, AL, Phillip (Bobbie) Bruno of Memphis, TN, Sidney (Karen) Bruno of Montgomery, AL, and Bennie Bruno of Harpersville, AL; one sister, Ethel Watters of Riverside, AL; special cousins, Athens Jerome Lawson and Loran Datcher; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Celebration of life for Billy Carl Lawson age 63, will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 12:00PM at Community Funeral Home Chapel, Sylacauga, Alabama. Pastor Jim C. Norwood, Eulogist. Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, 1:00PM to 7:00PM at Community Funeral Home.
