Brian Santez (PooPie) Garrett

Mr. Brian “PooPie” Santez Garrett was born on November 24, 1975. He was raised  by his mother, Pearlie Mae Garrett Milliner and her husband, Gregory L Milliner “Pumpkin” in Talladega County, AL. 

Mr. Garrett gave his life to Christ at an early age. He practiced Christian values that had been installed in him at an early age until his death.

Mr. Garrett graduated from B.B. Comer High School May of 1994. He was a well respected logistics driver for Reliable Transportation.  He was one for speed and an awesome drag race competitor. With his 77’ Nova, many race memories were made. As a compassionate man, he stood as a father figure to many.

He departed this walk of life on November 16, 2020 at Grandview Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by Gregory L Milliner, his mother, Pearlie Mae Garrett-Milliner and his father, George Clisby Jr. 

He leaves to cherish his memories one loving son, Akirah Montel (Tahirah) Chaney of Murfreesboro TN; Three grandchildren; Maazin, Layana, and Marie Chaney, his special uncles, Frank and James Garrett, five sisters; Aretha (Ernest) Lewis of New Rochelle, NY, Julia (David) Kirksey, Cynthia Wilson-Price,  Anita (Edward) Carter all of Sylacauga, Alabama, and Regina Walker of Cincinnati Ohio and three brothers; Gregory (Prettice) Knight of Sylacauga, AL, Eric (Lisa) Clisby of Cincinnati, Ohio, Derrick (Roni) Clisby of Columbus Ohio; A Godfather, Cecil Hamilton; God-siblings, Selena and Andre (Nicole) Hamilton, and a host of aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, and long time love, Tasha Smith.
