A loving, supportive mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Brigitte Bardot Patton was born sixty-four years ago to the late John and Ethelene Patton on June 2, 1960, in Talladega County, Alabama. Brigitte departed this walk of life on June 14, 2024, under the care of The Healthcare Center of Buck Creek in Alabaster, Alabama.
Brigitte was a proud alumna of B.B. Comer Memorial High School and graduated with the class of 1978. Shortly after graduating, she was employed with Avondale Mills for many years. Later she became a dedicated employee with Kimberly Clark that later became Bowater and retired with 30 years of service.
Brigitte enjoyed cheering for her alumna B.B. Comer tigers. If you knew Brigitte, you know she was kindhearted, and a loving person who was a diehard Auburn fan. She was very affectionate and compassionate when it came to her family. And loved entertaining her family and friends. In her youth, she enjoyed playing softball and had a passion for music which led her to being a disc jockey with Sticks and Stone where she was known as Honeycomb.
At an early age, Brigitte united her faith with Harper Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama. She was faithful and dedicated to the ministry that she loved dearly. She served in various positions within the church.
Brigitte was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, other relatives and close friends.
Memories of her life will be cherished by her one and only son, Deldrich DeWayne Henderson Patton of Gadsden, AL; two sisters, Johnnie Sabrina Patton of Sylacauga, AL, and Corine (Chris) Matt of Birmingham, AL; one brother, Albert Lamar (Danielle) Patton of Sylacauga, AL; one God-sister, Shawanda L. Estelle of Sylacauga, AL; four grandchildren, Carmello, Cassidy, Jeremiah, Keylene; four aunts, Johnnie Mae Goodgame of Sylacauga, AL, Juanita Fuller Scott, and Brenda Wyteria (George) Wilson of Villa Rica, GA; and Lillie Fuller of Aurora, CO; one uncle, Fred Wilson of Anniston, AL; two nephews, L.J. and Nate; five special great nephews, Camden, Hakeim, Aiden, Coby and J’Coby and one special great niece, Trinity; one brother in law, Randy Hale; Brigitte was blessed with an extended family in Christ, two daughters, Tenisha Hale and Keisha (Kita-Boo); five sisters, Earnestine Yvette Goodgame, Michele Foster, Juilette Russell, Julie White Garrett and Cassandra Wheeler Holmes; four brothers, Michael Goodgame, Tyrone Goodgame, Reginald Strong, and Ronald Strong; special niece, Imari Wilson; special friends, Jane (KJ) Guy, Gloria Hughes, Carlmilla Cook Buckner and Cassandra Nix Varner; and a host of cousins, other relatives, church family, class of 1978 and friends.
