Bronski Lamod Wesley Obituary

Childersburg, Alabama - Bronski Lamod Wesley, affectionately known as “Big B” peacefully departed his earthly journey on May 11, 2026, at the age of 53.

At a young age, Bronski accepted Christ and united with Tallasshatchie Missionary Baptist Church, where he began his lifelong walk of faith.  He was a proud 1991 graduate of Childersburg High School, where he excelled as an All-Star offensive Lineman on the 1989 football team.  Bronski later attended Alabama A&M University, graduating in 1996 with a degree in Agribusiness Education.

Bronski began his professional career in education, serving as both teacher and coach at Akron High School.  He later transitioned into the field he loved most, dedicating the remainder of his career as a Biological Science Technician with the USDA Agricultural Research Service. After years of faithful service, Bronski retired in 2025 and returned home to be closer to his beloved family, especially his mother, Ina.

Known for his warm spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering love for family, Bronski found joy in cheering on Alabama football, grilling and spending time with those he love most.  He was deeply admired and respected by all who knew him, leaving behind memories that will forever be cherished.

Bronski was preceded in death by his mother, Ina “Honey Bea” Wesley, grandparents, Booker T. and Lillie Wesley, uncles, Booker T. Wesley, Jr., Wilbert Wesley, and Otis Wesley, aunts, Lillie Wesley Jackson, and Annie Wesley Heath, and best friend | brother, Derrick Battle.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his father, Alvin Smith of Sylacauga, AL; aunts, Geraldine (Charles) Barnett of Childersburg, AL, Willie Belle Wesley of Columbus, OH, honorary aunt, Nellye Heath of Alpine, AL; special Godfather, Howard Keith of Childersburg, AL; along with a host of loving cousins, relatives, and friends who loved, admired, and will deeply miss him.

Though Bronski’s earthly presence is no longer with us, his legacy of love, laughter, strength, and devotion to family will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
