Byron LaShawn (BC) Chambliss

Sylacauga, Alabama - Byron LaShawn Chambliss, affectionately known as “BC,” was born on January 2, 1981, in Sylacauga, Alabama, to the loving parentage of John Richard and Sharon Chambliss.

Byron received his education in the Sylacauga City School System and was a proud graduate of Sylacauga High School. At an early age, he accepted Christ and began his Christian journey at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, he united with Early Rose Baptist Church, where he worshiped under the leadership of Pastor Develkio Wilson.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Byron was formerly employed by Avondale Mills, Inc. and, at the time of his passing, was employed with Imerys. He was known by many for his vibrant spirit and love of life. Byron truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness.

On January 31, 2026, Byron departed this walk of life under the compassionate care of Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Henry and Eula Chambliss, Myrtle Moon; his uncle, William Chambliss; and his aunt, Margretta Moon.

Byron leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving parents, John Richard and Sharon Chambliss; two devoted daughters, Bryana Chambliss and Aleah Chambliss; two brothers, Anthony (Swuat) Chambliss and Kortney (Kacey) Chambliss; one loving sister, Lakisha (Christopher Wilson) Chambliss; a special aunt, Sylvia Jackson; aunts, Norma Adams, Bonnie (Floyd) Knight, and Ruby (Freeman) Harris; uncles, Ervin (Chelle) Tucker, Jimmy (Lucille) Chambliss, and Nathaniel Chambliss; a bonus brother, Byron (Crystal) Clopton; four nephews, ZaKorien Chambliss, Marcus Chambliss, Hayden Chambliss, and DeKerius Chambliss; four nieces, ShaKayla Thomas, Lexus Thomas, ZaKiya McGinnis, and Ziyah Chambliss; special cousins, Orlando Jackson, Octavius Moon, and Dontravious Moon; along with a host of other relatives, close friends, and loved ones.
