Caleb Samuel Leonard

Mr. Caleb Samuel Leonard was born on June 23rd, 1941, to the parentage of Briggs Leonard and Samantha Dorth in Sylacauga, Alabama.

Mr. Leonard's journey began with a solid foundation of faith and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with St. Thomas United Methodist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama.  Later he united with the Church of Christ, Akron, Ohio.  He received his formal education in the Sylacauga City School System and became a East Highland High School graduate, with the class of 1961.

After graduating Mr. Leonard moved and made Akron, Ohio his home for many years before returning to Alabama in 2020.  He was a dedicated employee with The First National Bank of Akron, for many years.

Mr. Leonard was a fashion dresser and had a passion for clothes and shoes.  He was a loving brother, nephew, cousin and friend. 

Mr. Leonard departed this walk of life on January 7th, 2022, under the care of Sylacauga Health and Rehab Center, Sylacauga, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Briggs Leonard and Samantha Dorth, and two brothers, John Leonard and Robert Leonard.

His love and precious memories will forever be cherished by one brother, Briggs B. (Nita) Leonard of Sylacauga, AL; one sister, Francis L. (Willard) Harris of Cleveland, OH; one aunt, Carrie D. Garrett of Birmingham, AL; Special nephew, Lamont Leonard of Sylacauga, AL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
