Carla Michelle Heard

Ms. Carla Michelle Heard was born on October 17, 1968 to Mr. Charles and Mrs. Addie Heard in Talladega County, Alabama.

She attended Sylacauga City School district and was a honors graduate of Sylacauga High School in 1987.  After completing High School she joined the United States Army Reserve. 

Carla attended University of Alabama and graduated with Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice in 1993.  She attended University of Alabama A&M and graduated with her Master Degee in social worker in 2005.

She was a former Social Worker at Davita (Vice President Alabama Chapter Council of Nephrology social workers) May 2008 - November 2014.  She was employed at Humana Insurance Company until she became disabled in 2020. 

Ms. Heard departed this walk of life on January 25, 2021 at Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, AL.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving caring parents, Charles and Addie Heard, Sr. of Sylacauga, AL; two brothers, Charles (Tamiko) Heard, Jr. and Darrell Heard both of Birmingham, AL; five aunts, Gurnell (Aunt Nelle) Heard, Vera (Kenneth) McKenzie, Susan (Kerri) Barkley all of Sylacauga, AL; Jennie Adamson of Gadsden, AL; Serena (Ray) Jones of Anniston, AL; four uncles, Roosevelt Adamson of Anniston, AL; Willie C. Adamson of Columbus, OH; Michael Heard of Sylacauga, AL; Bill (Elaine) Heard of Detroit, MI; one nephew, Javon Heard; three nieces, Dasia Heard, Destiny Heard, Sharale Bledsoe; one great niece, Jovee Heard; one great nephew, Devin Heard; one special friend, Angela Hammonds of Atlanta, GA; and a host of relatives and friends.
