Carrie Bell (Jones) Hale

Sylacauga, Alabama -   Carrie Bell Jones Hale earthly journey began on February 23, 1935 in Sylacauga, Alabama to the parents of Willie and Minnie Lee Jones. She received her Heavenly wings on October 16, 2024 at Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, Alabama.

Mrs. Hale dedicated and gave her life to Christ at an early age and united her faith with Sait Thomas United Methodist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama.  She was very faithful and dedicated to the ministry, and joined in as a member of the Bell’s Choir. She was a member of the United Methodist Women Group, and the older adult ministries.  She served as Chairperson of the Outreach ministries at Saint Thomas. 

Mrs. Hale was a golden key club member at the Teresa Hoover Center, in Sylacauga, Alabama.  She was a faithful and dedicated employee with the Talladega County School System for 27 years.  Mrs. Hale had a gift of giving and would often make gifts for many church members.  In her spare time, she took pride in the beauty of her church and would take time out and work in the church flower beds.

Along Carrie’s life journey she met and united in holy matrimony to the late Harvey Dean Hale, this union brought them great joy and happiness to themselves.  They were blessed with six beautiful children, Harvey, Jr., Ronald, Stevie, Sr., Austin, Michael, Sr., and Priscilla. 

Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Jones, and Minnie Lee Jones, her husband, Rev. Harvey Dean Hale, Sr., her siblings, Minnie B. Jones, T.C. Jones, and Flora Williams.  Her love will forever be cherished by her five sons, Harvey Dean (Melba) Hale, Jr., of Los Angeles, CA, Ronald Reagan (Daphne) Hale of Irondale, AL, Stevie Hale, Sr., Austin (Annie) Hale, and Michael C. (Holly) Hale, Sr. all of Sylacauga, AL; one loving daughter, Priscilla Ann Hale of Sylacauga, AL; one sister, Shirley Ann Jones of Sylacauga, AL; one brother, David L. Jones of Sylacauga, AL; two sisters in laws, and one brother-in-law, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Celebration of life for Carrie Bell Jones Hale, age 89, will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at Saint Thomas United Methodist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama. Rev. Oneal Ridgeway, Eulogist. Interment will commence in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Sylacauga, AL.  Public viewing will held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 1:00PM to 7:00PM at Community Funeral Home.
