Charles Johnson, Sr. earthly journey began on June 28, 1947, to the parents of Robert C. Johnson and Mary Lee Toaugue in Talladega County, Alabama.
Charles accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united his faith with the Methodist religion. He received his formal education in the Sylacauga City School System and graduated at East Highland High School, Sylacauga, Alabama.
Charles was employed with various employers during his lifetime, Shell Plant, Gnat Quarry, Truck Driver for the City of Opa Locka, and Sylacauga Hospital. During Charles spare time, he loved bowling, shooting pool, sitting on the bank fishing, and watching football.
He departed this walk of life on October 27, 2023, at his residence in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lee Toaugue and Robert C. Johnson, son, Michael A. Johnson, two brothers, Robert Johnson, and Samuel Louis Johnson, ex-wife, Sylvia Gail Davis-Johnson.
Charles love will forever be remembered by his loving children, Charles Johnson, Jr., Cynthia Johnson, and Tekeva Johnson all of Miami, FL; loving siblings, Mary Luis Cheatam, Ada Gamble, Treasa Cook and Larry (Pastor Shirley) Johnson, all of Sylacauga, AL; Charles leaves behind loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
