Christopher Lynn Johnson began his earthly journey on September 13, 1966 to the parents of Maxine Richards (Johnson) Embry and late Samuel Lewis Johnson in Sylacauga, Alabama. Chris received his formal education in the Talladega County School System and attended B.B. Comer Memorial High School.
Chris accepted Christ as his personal Lord and savior at an early age, and later united with New Beginnings Ministries, under the leadership of Overseer Erastus and Pastor Deforest Godfrey. He served with the Parking Ministry and was a member of the choir. Chris was employed with Flav-O-Rich and Russell Mill.
Chris departed this life on Thursday, April 20, 2023. He was a beloved member of the community. Chris always brightened the spirits of any room he entered. He was a great friend and confidant to many.
Christopher leaves to cherish his memory: his son Tavorus Threatt (Arista), of Harpersville, Alabama; four grandchildren: King, Brooklyn and Bella Threat and Amari Williams; his mother, Maxine Richards Embry; his two brothers: Samuel Maurice Johnson (Tracey), Brian Embry (Jennifer); his three sisters: Bethaney Embry Jones (Greg), Sheena Johnson and Frenchie Cook. Chris also leaves behind his special friend Andrea Williams and her two daughters Kiondra and Shari Williams as well as his special cousins Jerel Dubose and Michael Richards. Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and close friends.
