Clement Tyrone Cross

Sylacauga, Alabama - Mr. Clement Tyrone Cross entered this life on February 9, 1965, to the late Mr. Earnest J. Cross and Mrs. Emma Dean Cross. He was the tenth of thirteen children and was affectionately known as “Bro. Cross”.

Mr. Cross attended Talladega County Training School in Talladega, AL where he graduated in 1984. After graduating, he went on to work at Tyson Foods in Ashland, AL, from there he decided to work in construction. Working for both Bailey Construction in Sylacauga and Glenn & Wright in Birmingham, Alabama. His heart’s desire was to own his own business. It is from this desire, Cross Lawn Care Services was born, where he faithfully cultivated and grew his business until the time of his transition.

Mr. Cross surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and received salvation in April of 1987 at the Move of God BibleWay Deliverance Tabernacle under the tutelage of Bro. Lane “The Apostle” where he became a mighty Man of God. Growing exponentially in His love for God, Faith, the Word of God, spiritual gifts and Agape Love, The Lord elevated him to the office of Assistant Pastor.

After getting saved he met the love of his life, Veronica Renee Cross, and they were joined in Holy matrimony on December 30, 1987, and was joyfully and happily married for 36 1/2 years.

Mr. Cross departed this life on June 7, 2024, at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Earnest J. Cross and Mrs. Emma Dean Cross, his brother, Walter Garrett and sister, Charlene Draper.

Mr. Cross leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Veronica R. Cross, of Childersburg, AL; daughter, Cheronica Morris, two granddaughters Kennedy Snoody and Jordyn Snoody of Montgomery, AL. Five brothers Mr. Donnell (Wanda) Cross, of San Antonio, TX; Mr. James (Vanessa) Cross of Talladega, AL; Mr. Patrick Cross, Mr. Gregory Cross and Mr. Thaddeus Cross of Alpine, AL. Five sisters, Mrs. Martha Bentley of Brookhaven, PA; Mrs. Cordella Garrett of Sylacauga, AL; Yolanda (Daniel) Swain of Akron, OH; Mrs. Shelia Draper of Pell City, AL; Mrs. Charlettia (Rondetrick) Womack of Sylacauga AL. Three brothers in law: Mr. Rodney (Jessica) Parker of Sylacauga, AL; Mr. Robin (Barbara) Parker of Childersburg, AL; Mr. James Parker of Tiffin, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relative's in-laws, and friends.

Celebration of life for Clement Tyrone Cross, age 59, will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 1:00PM at Move of God Bibleway Deliverance Tabernacle, Alpine, Alabama.  Apostle Prezell Lane, Eulogist.  Interment will commence in the Lilly Rhoden | Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, Childersburg, Alabama. Public viewing will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, 1:00PM –7:00PM at Community Funeral Home.
