Courtney Cordell Gamble, Jr.

Sylacauga, Alabama - Mr. Courtney Cordell Gamble, Jr. earthly journey began on August 21, 2001, in Talladega, Alabama to the parents of Courtney Cordell Gamble, Sr. and Karen White Gamble. 

Courtney was affectionately known by family and friends as “CJ”.  He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. 

CJ received his formal education in the Talladega County School System, and graduated from Childersburg High School with the class of 2019.  While attending school at Childersburg High, CJ was a big part of the athletic program.  He was a highlight and humble player on the Childersburg Tigers football team. He was proud to wear jersey number 53. 

CJ furthered his education and attended Central Alabama Community College (CACC) in Childersburg, Alabama.  He was a dedicated and faithful employee at McDonalds Restaurant in Sylacauga, Alabama.

CJ departed this walk of life on February 25, 2024, in Sylacauga, Alabama.  In Heaven, CJ will join his grandparents, Ada White, Albert Player, Jr., and Clarence Gamble, aunt, Earnestine Swain, uncles, Ulysses (Fuzzy) White and Dwight White.

His love will forever be remembered by his loving and devoted parents, Courtney and Karen Gamble of Sylacauga, AL; loving brother, Darrius Gamble of Sylacauga, AL; loving grandmother, Barbara Wright of Sylacauga, AL; aunts, Beverly (Brian) Carter-Grayson of GA, Bertha Ashley of Sylacauga, AL, Alfreda Millner of Detroit, MI, Julie (Percy) Garrett of Sylacauga, AL, Debra Davis of Sylacauga, AL, and Tammy Barlow of Douglasville, GA;  uncles, Kenyon Gamble of Sylacauga, AL, William White of Detroit, MI, Kevin White of Sylacauga, AL, and John (Shirley) Gamble of Savannah, Gal and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life for Courtney Cordell Gamble, Jr., age 22, will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama. Pastor Roger Stallworth, Eulogist.  Interment will commence in Corinth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Sylacauga, Alabama.  Public viewing will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, 1:00PM to 7:00PM at Community Funeral Home.
