Sylacauga, Alabama - Darius DeVon Jackson was born on May 14, 1992 in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was the beloved son of Eula Faye Jackson and Jamie Ashley.
Darius was affectionately known as “DeDe” by many families and friends. He received his education in the Sylacauga City School System. He was a member of Mountain Home Baptist Church in Sycamore, Alabama.
Darius was a humble, loving, kind, and funny person. He understood what mattered in life and valued nothing more than fatherhood. The birth of his children was the beginning of a new chapter for him, and he was overwhelmingly connected to his children. Darius didn’t let his illness stop him from going over and above for his children. He was a true momma’s boy, and when it came down to her and his siblings, he didn’t play.
He fought a good fight, he finished the race, on May 21, 2025 at his residence, and now there is in store for him the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award him on that day. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alice S. Jackson, grandfather, Willie Bledsoe, Jr., great grandmother, Essie M. Jackson, great grandfather, Tony B. Jackson, best friends, Ray Kelow and Sean Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memories two loving sons, Josiah A. Jackson and Jakaden A. Jackson both of Alpine, AL; two loving daughters, Kenzlee N. Jackson, and Alyssa J. Jackson of Alpine, AL; loving mother, Eula F. Jackson of Alpine, AL; step father, Jamie Ashley of Alpine, AL; two sisters, Ashley N. Jackson and Desiree Stewart both of Sylacauga, AL; four brothers, Eric J. Jackson of Sylacauga, AL, Jonathan Turner, Quashan Turner, and Fredico Turner, all of Montgomery, AL; two uncles, Martin Jackson, and Willie A. Jackson both of Sycamore, AL; two aunts, Mary Godfrey and Tina Jackson; four nieces, Jakayla, Aubrey, Madison, and Nylah; three nephews; special cousins, other relatives and friends.
