Darrell Dewayne Kidd Obituary

Sylacauga, Alabama -  Darrell DeWayne “Blue” Kidd was born on June 1, 1969, in Sylacauga, Alabama, to Jannie Pearl Kidd and Donnie “Blue” Kidd. He received his education in the Talladega County School System.

Darrell accepted Christ at an early age and acknowledged Jesus Christ as his eternal Lord and Savior. He was known for his sweet spirit and humble soul. Darrell enjoyed the simple joys of life—drinking coffee with his grandmother each morning, caring for his beloved dog, and taking peaceful walks through the Cedar Creek community, where he loved stopping to talk with neighbors.

Darrell transitioned from this life on November 28, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jannie Pearl Cook Kidd, and his father, Donnie “Blue” Kidd.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his sister, Shemeka S. Kidd, and his brother, Christopher T. Kidd, both of Sylacauga, Alabama; his grandmother, Sarah Frances Cook of Sylacauga, Alabama; three uncles, Rickey (Sharon) Cook of Huntsville, Alabama, Kenneth Cook of Sylacauga, Alabama, and Anthony Cook of Sylacauga, Alabama; one aunt, Elizabeth (Dr. Everett) Kelley of Hughesville, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Darrell will be remembered for his kindness, gentle heart, and the warmth he shared with everyone he met.
