David J. Austin, Jr.

Mr. David Austin, Jr. was born on September 24, 1962 to the parents of Mr. Roosevelt Junior Austin and Tempie L. Isome Austin. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Equality, Alabama.

Mr. Austin received his formal education and graduated from Elmore County Schools System.  Mr. Austin was a dedicated employee with Southern Alloy Corporation in Sylacauga, AL and later employed with Lakeside Stone & Granite in Sylacauga, Alabama.  

Along Mr. Austin's life's journey he met and united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Mary L Blackmon. 

Mr. Austin departed this walk of life on May 21, 2023 at his residence in Sylacauga, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Roosevelt Junior Austin and  Mrs. Tempie L. Austin, brothers, William Roosevelt Austin, Robert Louis Austin, sister, Nany Jane Brisker, step-daughter, Pamela M. Williams, and grandmother, Alice Mae Ziegler. 

David’s love will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Mary L. Austin; loving son, Marquis Smith; loving step-children, Jesse Blackmon, Johnny Wayne (Kahea) Blackmon, Monica (James) Barefield, Anthony (Jennifer) Milner, Demetrius (Lisa) Milner, and Jonathan Milner; loving sisters, Joan (Neil) Floyd, Mary A. Moon, two special grandchildren: Marcquita Nicole and Zhy'bresia Blackmon, special uncle, Lawrence Zeigler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
