Deandre Armel Davis Obituary

Deandre Armel Davis was born on October 26, 1998, to Warren N. Davis and Ursula Swain Davis at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, Al. Deandre gave his life to Christ at an early age, and joined Holy Faith Temple in Childersburg, AL under the leadership of Apostle Billie Crawford. Deandre graduated from Vincent High School in May 2017. He was a leader and an exemplary student. He participated in many after school activities and excelled in basketball, football, and track and field. He was a member of the Beta Club and played the trombone in the band. Throughout Deandre’s matriculation at Vincent High School, he received several accolades including the Braxton Baker Scholar Athlete Award, Dwight Spradley Yellow Jacket Heart Award, and the Vincent Yellow Jacket Senior Leadership Award.

Deandre Davis was also a dedicated member of the Vincent High School U.S. Army Jr. ROTC Program and along with his fellow cadets, they established a team that allowed VMHS to be recognized on a national stage. The team competed in the U.S. Army Raiders Camp in Molena, Ga. and earned top honors. Thanks to the grit and determination of Deandre and his fellow cadets, it allowed him to qualify for and receive the U.S. Army Minuteman Scholarship which he utilized to join the Sr. ROTC Program at Jacksonville State University. Deandre was an extraordinary young man. He truly loved his family and friends. He strived to be the best in all his endeavors. He loved sports, music, and God. Trying to understand and maneuver through this journey called life can be hard and it can only be accomplished through God’s grace and guidance. A familiar scripture that Deandre would often reflect upon is Deuteronomy 31:6 which reads “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Deandre has left us in this natural world and has transitioned into a spiritual being. Deandre would say to all his family and friends that he loves us. He would say to continue the good fight and that one day we will all meet again. Deandre Armel from all family and friends we are praying for you. We are pleading out to God to wrap his arms around you and to keep you safe. We all just want you to know that we love you and we know that you are ok. May the grace and mercy of God be with you; this is what we ask for in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
