Delrecco Lashirn McMillian Obituary

Childersburg, Alabama - Mr. Delrecco Lashirn McMillian was born to Persian Robertson Sr. and Evelyn McMillian on April 15, 1973 in Albany County, New York.  He was lovingly known by family and friends as, “ Del, Scar, and Recco”.

Delrecco graduated from Childersburg High School in Childersburg, Alabama. After graduating, he attended the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama. He spent many years honing his skill as a welder. He became very skilled at his trade and eventually began training others, while working at South Central Steel in Harpersville, Alabama.

Delrecco enjoyed the simple things in life such as taking rides through the country, taking the kids to the park, watching a good sports program with family and friends, and sitting on the porch on a nice sunny day. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior during his lifetime.  Very early in life, Delrecco became a member of Enon Baptist Church, Childersburg, Alabama. He enjoyed the simple things but had a passion for food. He loved preparing specialty dishes and sampling uncommon foods from various restaurants. What Del really loved and enjoyed more than anything was time with family and friends.  He would do anything for them and give all he had to help them. Del loved all kids but was most grateful for time with his kids and grandkids.

Del was a HUGE Auburn Tigers fan.  He would argue he was the biggest Auburn fan in the state of Alabama.  War Eagle, Del!

Delrecco departed this walk of life on August 13, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Persian Robertson and grandparents, Margaret and Isaiah McMillian.

His love and kindness will be remembered by his sons, Kristoff McMillian, Jason McMillian, Calvin McMillian; special sons, Isaiah Graham, Camden Smith, Carson Smith, and Christian Smith; daughters, Jasmine Shepherd, Nia Graham, and Kayla Johnson; loving mother, Evelyn McMillian; brothers, Samtwann Hamilton, Ronnie (Tewona) Kelly, and Persian Robertson Jr.; special brothers, Jermaine Hall and Waymond Cribbs; sisters, Nona (Darryl) Johnson, Shawanda Robertson, and Rozia Robertson; grandchildren, Karter Graham, Ry’Lland Graham, and Cade Shepherd; Aunts, Izella Wilson, Freida Garrett, and Margaret E.
