Mr. Demetrius Melton was born September 14, 1967 to the parentage of the late George W. Melton and the late Harriet Melton.
 
Mr. Melton gained his wings on September 28, 2019 at UAB Medical Center, in Birmingham, AL.

He leaves to cherish his memories six children, Elena M. Melton of Vincent, AL; Kelly M. (Regina) Ayala of Vincent, AL; Sam (Michelle) Ayala of North Carolina; Brian D. (Kizzie) Ayala of Moody, AL; Jason P. (Cassandra) Ayala of Trussville, AL; and Donte Hamilton of Vincent, AL; .seven siblings, Jonathan (Sophia) Melton of Calera, AL; George W. Melton, Jr. of Lafayette, AL; Cynthia Lee of Vincent, AL; Beverly (James) Riggins of Vincent, AL; Carolyn Boykins of Montana; Mattie Tilly of Orlando, FL; Mary (Charles) Mitchell of Detroit, MI; twenty one grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
