Demetrius Dantelle (Man-Man) Griffin

Demetrius Dantelle Griffin, was born on July 4, 1996, at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, Alabama, to the beloved parents of Demetrius Griffin and Cynthia McCain.

Affectionately known as Man Man, gave his life to Christ at an early age at Move of God Bibleway Tabernacle Church in Alpine, Alabama.

Demetrius attended both Childersburg and B.B. Comer high school, where he played basketball and football. He was currently pursuing his education at the Central Alabama Community College (CACC), Adult Learning Program.

Demetrius will always be remembered for his smile, vibrant spirit, and laughter. He was outgoing and had a big heart; he was a lover of music, and you could always encounter him singing or humming a song.

Demetrius departed this walk of life on March 17, 2025. He was preceded in death by, grandparents, Fred McCain, Barbara Chaney, Joe and Peggy Lee, EW and Ella Mae McCain, John D. and Louise Griffin, Daisey and John Henry McElrath.

His love will be cherished by his loving parents, Cynthia McCain of Childersburg, AL, and Bishop Demetrius (Tabitha) Griffin of Opelika, AL; siblings, Terrell McCain, Diamond McCain, Bianca McCain all of Childersburg, AL, Teasia Oden of Sylacauga, AL, Skylar (Alexander) Bethea of Montgomery, AL, Daurian Cook of Fayetteville, AL, Dantavis Griffin, Talia Griffin, and Daniel Griffin all of Opelika, AL; grandparents, Rev. Fredrick (Cynthia) Kirkland of Childersburg, AL, Michael Griffin of Birmingham, AL, Letichia Griffin of Birmingham, AL; aunts and uncles, Roy (Sharon) Anderson of Tacoma, WA, Vantonia Smith of Indianapolis, IN, Anthony McGhee of Sylacauga, AL, Javis (Michelle) Stone of Childersburg, AL, Lafrederick Kirkland, Lacredrick Kirkland both of Childersburg, AL, Portia Twymon of Sylacauga, AL, Michael (Samrian) Griffin of Birmingham, AL, Meshan Jerrell Griffin of Birmingham, AL, Makayla Griffin of Birmingham, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
