Harpersville, Alabama - Mr. Dexter Cade, Jr. earthly journey began on February 24, 1960, in Shelby County, Alabama. Affectionately known as “Buddy” was the beloved son to the late Dexter Cade, Sr. and the late Essie P. Ellis Cade. Buddy departed this walk of life on February 10, 2025, under the care of Coosa Valley Nursing Home in Sylacauga, Alabama.
At a young age in life, Buddy accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He united his faith and became a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Harpersville, Alabama.
Buddy was known for his love for cards. You could often find him flipping cards. He loved shooting basketball. Buddy’s joyful spirit and fond memories he created will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dexter and Essie P. Cade, sisters, Mary Prem, Georgia Garner, Annie Mae Kelley, Minnie Hall, brothers, Charlie Cade, Jessie Noble, Jerry Noble, and Jimmy Noble.
His love will be cherished by his loving sister, Jeffie Pearl Peterson of Harpersville, AL, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Buddy’s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
Celebration of life and Graveside service for Mr. Dexter Cade, Jr. “Buddy”, age 64, will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 1:00PM at Harpersville Memorial Cemetery, Harpersville, Alabama. Rev. James H. Garner, Eulogist. Public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, 1:00PM to 7:00PM at Community Funeral Home.
