Dianne Nix Harris Obituary

Dianne Nix Harris was born on March 5th, 1949, to the parentage of Amos Nix and Bonnie Leonard in Talladega County, Alabama.  Dianne, accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Harper Springs Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama. 

Dianne received her formal education in the Talladega County School System and graduated from R.R. Moton High School.  Along Dianne’s life’s journey she met and united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Andy Harris, Sr.

After battling a long illness of cancer, Dianne departed this walk of life on August 20th, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos Nix, and Bonnie Leonard, sister, Edna Duncan, brothers, Nathanial Leonard, Amos Nix, Grover Nix, and Early Nix, nieces, Mary Leonard and Mary Nix. 

Dianne’s love will forever be cherished by her loving husband, Andy Harris, Sr. of Sylacauga, AL; five loving sons, London J. Harris of Oxford, AL, Andy Harris, Jr., Jerry (Sharon) Harris, Patrick (Keisha) Harris and Michael (Kenya) Harris all of Sylacauga, AL; three daughters, Kelly (Mark) Whetstone, Cathy Harris, and Bonnie Harris all of Sylacauga, AL; special friend, Eddie Johnson; one sister in law, Janet Moon; one brother in law, George Harris; seventeen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and a host of other relative and friends.
