Elijah Kendrick was born on October 16, 1960 to the parentage of Johnnie Munford and Odell Leonard in Coosa County, Alabama.
Mr. Kendrick accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Fresh Start Ministries, Sylacauga, Alabama. As a young man he was educated in the Talladega County School System and graduated from B. B. Comer Memorial High School, Sylacauga, Alabama.
Mr. Kendrick was a dedicated employee with Southern Alloy for several years until his retirement.
Along Elijah’s life’s journey he met and united in Holy Matrimony to Ethel Wilson.
Mr. Kendrick departed this walk of life on October 12, 2021 under the care of Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father, Odell Leonard and other relatives and friends.
His love and precious memories will forever be cherished by his wife of 39 years, Ethel W. Kendrick of Sylacauga, AL; five children, Valerie (Curtis) Garrett of Sylacauga, AL; Conorda (Chandrea) Wilson of Sylacauga, AL, Christopher Wilson of Sylacauga, AL; Anthony Howard of Texas; and Monica Teague of Sylacauga, AL; four sisters, Diane Leonard, Joyce Leonard, both of Alexander City, AL; Vera Lee of Kellyton, AL; and Ruby Taylor of Panama City, FL; fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, special aunts like a mother, Helen (Ronnie) Gillium of Sylacauga, AL; and Mellie (Frank) Wilkerson of Sylacauga, AL; two brother in laws, Carlee (Izella) Wilson of Childersburg, AL; Terry Borden of Sylacauga, AL; three uncles, Johnnie Kendrick, Terry (Jackie) Culpepper, and Jerry (Patricia) Days all of Sylacauga, AL; special friend, David Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
