Evangelist Katherine Dean Duncan was born on January 25th, 1960, to the parentage of Luther Duncan Jr. and Lauretta G. Duncan in Talladega, Alabama.
Evangelist Duncan’s journey began with a solid foundation of faith and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Kingston Missionary Baptist Church, Alpine, Alabama. Later she united with Jesus Saves Deliverance Temple, Sylacauga, Alabama before uniting with Reaching the World Bible Church, Sylacauga, Alabama, where she became an Ordained Minister, School of the Bible Teacher, Children Ministry Worker, Praise and Worship Team Leader, and was lead of the Decorating Committee. Evangelist Duncan was faithful to the ministry and served well in every position she was appointed too.
Evangelist Duncan received her formal education in the Talladega County School System and graduated from Talladega County Central High School (TC). She furthered her education and attended Central Alabama Community College (CACC) and received her Associate Degree in Accounting. She was a dedicated employee with the Social Security Administration in Talladega, Alabama and later she transferred to the Birmingham office where she later retired.
On January 10th, 2022, Evangelist Katherine D. Duncan made her transition from this world to her Heavenly Home at her residence in Sylacauga, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Duncan, Jr. and Lauretta G. Duncan, two siblings, Luther Duncan, III and Mary Etta Duncan, two grandsons, Jamari McAllister and Joshua KaDean Duncan.
Her love will forever be cherished by four children, Cedric (Deitra) Duncan, D’Andrick Duncan, Tamara Duncan, and April Duncan; grandchildren, Kimbriana, Justice, Jamari, Jayla, Kaleb, McKensley, Jordan, Jaylon, Jaquez, Jaci, Tyson, Tyrin, and Tiara; siblings, Elaine Swain, Sheila Duncan, Bishop Diane (Gary) McMillian, Tony (Karen) Duncan; special sisters in the Lord, Theresa, Alice, and Marilyn; a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
