Fannie Lee Crowe Patterson earthly journey began on April 20, 1952, in Talladega Springs, Alabama to the parentage of N.C. Crowe and Hazel Lee Vincent Crowe. At an early age Fannie, accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Friendship Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama, where she was a part of the young adult and senior choir. At the age of 12, she taught the premier class until she was unable to teach. She was a member of the young matron and missionary. She received her formal education in the Talladega County School System and graduated from Fayetteville High School, Fayetteville, Alabama. She went on to further her education at Central Alabama Community College (CACC) and Rushing Springs Bible College.
Along Fannie’s life’s journey she met and united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Dwight Patterson, to this union two children were born. Fannie became a dedicated employee with Avondale Mills, Russell Mills, Sylvest Kozy Korner, and a bus driver at Carol Dale. She served on the Talladega Springs City Council. Fannie helped her community doing community service while delivering hot meals until was unable to continue.
Fannie departed this walk of life on July 3rd, 2022, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Dwight Patterson, parents, N.C. and Hazel Crowe, and brother, R.C. Crowe.
Fannie love will forever be cherish by her two loving sons, Omar (Laura) Patterson, and Orlando Patterson both of Sylacauga, AL; siblings, Josie (David) Walls, Annie Stern, Jerry (Ruth) Crowe, Donald Crowe, Lue (John) Wilson all of Sylacauga, AL, Rita (Rev. Robert) Russell of Childersburg, AL, Margaret (Lynn) Foster, Harry (Vickie) Crowe, Martha (Xavier) McKinney all of Sylacauga, AL, and Cynthia (Uko) Geesken of Oxford, AL; grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Lexy Patterson, and Lanie Patterson; great grandchildren, Stella Smith, Willow Patterson, NaVon Smith, and Meadow Baird all of Sylacauga, AL; uncle, Paul Vincent of Anniston, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
