Mrs. Freddie Mae Kirksey-McElrath was born to the union of Cora Lee Kirksey and Tommie Gene Kirksey on September 11th, 1954, in the town of Wilsonville, Alabama.
Mrs. McElrath accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Wilsonville, Alabama where she faithfully served until her heavenly departure.
Along Mrs. McElrath’s life’s journey, she met and united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Robert E. McElrath on June 24th, 1999.
Mrs. McElrath departed this walk of life on March 1st, 2022, at her residence in Sylacauga, Alabama, surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father, Tommie Gene Kirksey, three brothers, Daniel Kirksey, Dan Kirksey and Tommie Louis Kirksey, and one sister, Diane Kirksey.
Her love will forever be cherished by her loving husband of 22 years, Robert E. McElrath of Sylacauga, AL; two sons, Ronnie Lynn Kirksey of Holman, AL, and Keyonta Kelow of Huntsville, AL; two granddaughters, Kadeasha Kirksey and Kendra Kirksey both of Montgomery, AL; loving mother, Cora Lee Kirksey of Sylacauga, AL; two sisters, Rosie Lee (Jerry) Hughes of Sylacauga, AL, and Brenda Simmons of South Point, OH; four brothers, Michael (Jeannetta) Kirksey, Ricky Kirksey, James Earl (Patricia) Kirksey all of Sylacauga, AL; and Dwight Wayne (Shelia) Kirksey of Wilsonville, AL; step-mother, Annie Kirksey of Wilsonville, AL; special cousin, Jackie Kirksey, special friends, Kathy Lauderdale, Tabitha McElrath, Byron Brewer, Wanda Wallace, and Earl Isbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
