Gary Earl Stone Jr. left this life to return to the open arms of his creator on June 27, 2021. He was welcomed by great-grandparents, Arlene Swain, Dorothy Adair, Richard Holtzclaw, grandparents, Joann Stone, Robert Stone, Ronald Holtzclaw, Andrew Molton and his uncle Robert Junior Stone.
Junior as he was affectionately known, was born August 7, 1990 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. A few years after his birth the family relocated to Sylacauga, Alabama before eventually making Montgomery, Alabama the family homestead. As a child, Junior was always the life of the party. He had a great sense of humor, and always made others laugh.
As an adult he was a trendsetter. He was always clean from head to toe. After working at Footlocker and Victoria’s Secret, he kept his eye open for all things fashionable. However, Junior was not the selfish type, he would share his shoe collection with numerous friends and family.
Junior was very talented in the music industry and had a creative eye for new and exciting business ventures. His musical stage name was, SELFMADE JR. With the help of Cameron Hodges, JRoc Howard of Equality Records, and Brandon Sanborn of Sanborn Films, SELFMADE JR musical passions were being shared all over the country. He was just about to blow up.
Junior was a loving and devoted son, father, sibling, uncle, cousin, grandson and friend. Beautiful memories will always be cherished by his praying mother, Alicia Holtzclaw, father Gary Stone ( Sonya); his children, Tiana Charee, Brayden Jamar, and Jordan Alayah, the reason he never gave up; his siblings Y’kela, Toi, Lajeremy, Jatarek, and Kaitlyn whose bond was so tight that even death can’t separate; grandmother Carolyn Holtzclaw; great-grandmother Georgia Armstrong; Nieces, Nevaeh, Ni’Yonna, Ni’Lah, and Toi Nova; Nephews, Tristan, and Kashton; ten aunts, seven uncles, several great aunts and great uncles and the BEST cousins on the Planet. Especially his cousin LaDarius who was like his brother. Junior also enjoyed a special bond with his Aunt Angie and Uncle Kenneth Stone.
He will always be remembered for his love of others, his loyalty and his heart of gold.
Matthew 28:20 I am with you always, even until the end of the age .
