Sylacauga, Alabama - Gloria Jean Mainor earthly journey began on July 21, 1952 in Sylacauga, Alabama. She was the beloved daughter of Mary Patrick. Jean as she was affectionately known, resided in Alabama for a short time before moving to Detroit, Michigan.
Jean alumni and high school graduate at Northwestern High School in Detroit, Michigan. She excelled and furthered her education at Dorsey Business School in Michigan. She was a dedicated employee for many years at the General Motor bldg. as an executive assistant and office manager. She also dedicated her time working with several different places.
Jean was a loving mother of three and grandmother of one. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, listening to music and watching classic movies.
On July 28, 2024 at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama, Jean departed this walk of life. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Bertha Smith, Minnie Harris, and Kate Pope, brothers, Bobby Harris, and Freeman Harris.
Her loved will forever be cherished by her loving sons, Jason Harris and Christopher Harris both of Sylacauga, AL; loving daughter, Stephanie Kocsis (Andrew) of Southfield, MI; loving granddaughter, Andrea Harris of Westland, MI; sisters, Dorothy Averitte of Sylacauga, AL, and Willie May Harris of Texas; brothers, Clarence Harris and KC Harris both of Sylacauga, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
