Sylacauga, Alabama - Mrs. Grace Mae “Gracie May” Neally Davis was born on April 13, 1939, in Elmore County, Alabama, to the late Lamar Neely and the late Beatrice Graham Neely.
Grace lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and a caring spirit. She was affectionately known by many as “Gracie May,” a name that reflected the warmth and love she shared with those around her. Grace worked faithfully as a housekeeper at First United Methodist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama. Through her work there and in her role as a babysitter for many families, she touched countless lives with her nurturing heart and dependable nature.
In her leisure time, Grace found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved shopping for clothes and faithfully keeping up with her favorite television show, General Hospital. More than anything, she cherished spending time with family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and love.
Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence Davis; her parents, Lamar Neely and Beatrice G. Neely; and other loved ones who welcomed her into eternal rest.
On March 7, 2026, Mrs. Grace Mae Neally Davis peacefully departed this earthly life while under the care of Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving son, Jerome Neally of Sylacauga, Alabama; one brother, Leon (Annie) Neely, Sr. of Wetumpka, Alabama; two sisters, Catherine Isome of Texas and Sara McCain of Birmingham, Alabama; a devoted nephew, Eddie Neally of Sylacauga, Alabama; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
