Harry Dean Twyman affectionately known as Redbone, earthly journey began on August 19, 1960, to the parentage of Norman Swain and Rebecca Twyman in Talladega, Alabama. Harry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Tallasshatchie Baptist Church, in the Kymulga Community. He received his formal education in the Sylacauga City School System and graduated with the class 1979 at Sylacauga High School. He continued his education and attended Jacksonville University, Jacksonville, Alabama for three years.
Harry, enlisted in the United States Army on October 5th, 1985, where he received his Army Service Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster), Marksman Badge (Rifle), Expert Badge (Grenade), Overseas Service Ribbon, and Army Lapel Button. Harry was later Honorably Discharged on October 2nd, 1989, in Fort Stewart, GA. He continued his career and joined the United States National Guards. Harry was later employed with Coosa Valley Electric, Alabama Power, and Avondale Mills.
Harry departed this walk of life on July 16th, 2022, under the care of Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Swain, two sons, Demetrius Jeffries and Mario Twyman, grandparents, William Frank Twyman and Rachel Twyman, two brothers, Fenton Swain, and William Twyman.
Harry’s love will forever be cherished by his loving mother, Rebecca Twyman of Sylacauga, AL; twin sister, Geraldine Twyman of Sylacauga, AL; sisters, Cynthia (Michael) Twyman-Hale of Fayetteville, GA, Melinda (Sylvester) Twyman-Fleming of Madison, MS, and Sheila (Cecil) Swain-Chappell of Anniston, AL; brothers, Willie (Denise) Twyman of Oxford, AL; LaWarren Swain and Sedric (Stella) Swain both of Talladega, AL, and Norman (Tina) Swain of Talladega, AL; aunts, Mary Battle and Pastor Rosie Mae Twyman both of Childersburg, AL; and Josie Ware of Sylacauga, AL; special friend, Fred Ervin of Sylacauga, AL; God daughter, Kiora Rowser of Sylacauga, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
