Henry Louis (Grip) Posey

Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. 

Mr. Henry Louis Posey affectionately known as Knot, Red, and Grip by family and friends, was born into this world as a special gift to Henry and Fannie Norwood Posey on a joyful Christmas morning, December 25, 1962.  Grip received his education in the Shelby County School System attending Vincent Middle - High School.

Grip departed this walk of life on July 9th, 2022 in Vincent, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Helen Posey and nephew, Rod Posey. 

Knot’s love for people and kind and gentle spirit never allowed him to meet a stranger and loved helping people.  He was a die heart Alabama Crimson Tide fan. 

Henry’s love will forever be cherished by his loving sister, Veronica Posey; brothers, Erik (Pam) Posey, and Willie (Harriet) Rogers; bonus sister, Doris (Roy) Coulter; nephews, Shedrick, Cameron, Erik, Jr., Courtney, and Lance; nieces, Kosha, Patra, Kelley, Jana, Ebbonie, Elika, Tinita, Skye, Star, Bre, and Tameka; four great nephews, five great nieces, one special great niece, Moonie, whom showed him her love by keeping his hair cut and toenails clipped, she often called him her older son; special friends, Gerald McGinnis, Kelow, Bonnie, Shirley, Brandy, Rod white, McDonald, Tommy, and Anthony Daniels; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Henry, maybe gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
