JT Garrett

Mr. JT Garrett was born on September 12, 1933 to the parentage of the late Hezzie Garrett and the late Lurena Jones Garrett. 

He accepted Christ at an early age. He became a member of Peace Baptist Church, Talladega, AL, where he served on the Deacon board and Trustee Board. He worked faithfully in the Ministry until his health failed.

Mr. JT Garrett united in Holy Matrimony to the Ms. Emma Richardson Garrett.

He was educated in the Talladega County School System.  Mr. Garrett work in the Construction Industry for thirty years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hezzie Garrett, and Lurena Jones Garrett, wife, Emma R. Garrett, one son, JT Garrett, two daughters, Shari A. Hixson and Mary Beth Garrett, brothers, LC Garrett, Avery Garrett, and William Garrett, sister, Annie Pearl Staples.

Mr. Garrett departed this walk of life on January 10, 2020 at Sylacauga Health & Rehab Center, Sylacauga, AL.

He leaves to cherish his memories, five sons, Minister Jonathan (Tia) Garrett of Hinesville, GA; Robert (Taiwana) Garrett of Owens, KY; Stephon (Catrina) Garrett of Kennesaw, GA; Minister Michael Garrett of Anniston, AL; and John (Sandra) Garrett of Lincoln, AL; two daughters, Ruthie (Roger) Holmes of Conyers, GA; and Frankie Jones of Alpine, AL; three step sons, ST (Ethel) Richardson, Rev. Isaac Richardson, and Samuel (Gloria) Richardson; six brothers, Fred (Barbara) Garrett of Alpine, AL; Early (Patricia) Garrett of Alpine, Phillip (Betty Ann) Garrett of Lincoln, AL; Rev. Raymond Garrett of Alpine, AL; Andrew (Barbara) Garrett of Talladega, AL; and Lee Curtis (Mary) Garrett of Talladega, AL; fiver sisters, Phedonia Guyton of Lincoln, AL; Rosetta Garrett of Springfield, OH; Lorene (Larry) Wills of Anniston, AL; Tia Richardson and Erlene Garrett of Cincinnati, OH; twenty four grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
