Jackqualine Wynette Odem was born on May 14, 1973 to the late Miles Johnson and the late Emma Lois Odem in Clay County, Ashland, Alabama.
Jackie graduated from Clay County High School in Ashland, Alabama with the graduating class of 1992. Afterwards, she received her college education at Southern Union Junior College. She was a very devoted member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, where she serviced as the Director of the adult choir and the praise dance team.
Jackie was a special angel on earth. She loved the game of softball. She played many positions from 1st and 3rd base to catcher. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and being the boss. Jackie was also known as the BEST babysitter in town. She pursued her professional career at Ashland Headstart, Russell Corporation, and New South Express (NSE).
Dignity, loving, caring, faith-filled and strength are all words that describe Jackqualine Wynette Odem. On May 4, 2021 she gained her heavenly wings.
Jackie leaves her legacy of love and dedication to her loving children, Elexus Odem, Julius Odem, and India Odem; her devoted siblings, Rita Hunter of Ashland, AL., James Lamar Odem (Rhonda) of Ashland, AL., Benita Hawkins (Eugene) of Alexander City, AL., and Ronnie Odem (Candy) of Fayetteville, GA.; grandchild, Elijah Thomas; loving and devoted special cousin, Brenda Simmons and special friend, Donna Russell Taylor; and a host of uncles and aunts, nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.
