James Edward Isome's earthly journey began on March 17th, 1949 to the parents of Enoch L. Isome and Lurleen Crayton Isome in Titus, Alabama.
At an early age James, united with Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Titus, Alabama and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.
After moving to Sylacauga, Alabama, James received his formal education in the Sylacauga School System and graduated from East Highland High School. While pursuing his education, James met the love of his life “Yvonne”. James and Yvonne prove to be inseparable by becoming united in Holy Matrimony and traveling to Buffalo, New York making it their home for 51 beautiful years.
While living in New York, James united with Mt. Carmen Baptist Church until the passing of his pastor and later united with Praise Tabernacle Church until his passing under the leadership of Rev. Ed Sanders.
James was a faithful employee with General Motors of New York for 30 years as a Machine Operator, until he was disabled to work.
He gained his wings on December 20th, 2022, under the care of Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, New York. He was preceded in death by his father, Enoch L. Isome, his mother, Lurleen C. Isome, son, James Jr. Isome, his mother-in-law, Claudia Burns, sister, Betty Jean Isome Barkley, brothers, Mack Isome, Billy Isome, and Willie Isome, nephews, Julius Isome, and Gregory Barkley, cousin, Jenny Isome.
His love will forever be cherished by his beautiful wife, Yvonne Isome of Buffalo, NY; two God-daughters, Johnitka Pope of North Carolina, and Aliyah Turner of New York; God-son, Terry (Pamela) Troutman of North Carolina; two step sisters, Mealie (Frank) Wilkerson and Johnnie Munford both of Sylacauga, AL; three step brothers, Terry (Jacquelyn) Culpepper, Jerry (Patricia) Days and Johnny Kendrick all of Sylacauga, AL; two special aunts, Velma Garrett of Titus, AL and Ruby Francis of Tampa, FL; one sister in law, Betty (Willie) Wilson of Sylacauga, AL; two brother in laws, Roger (Carmen) Burns, and Randy (Brenda) Burns, both of Sylacauga, AL; a special cousin, Bernice Isome; special friends, Mario, Bird, Peco, John Pope, John Thomas all of New York; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
