James Edward Moon

Mr. James Edward Moon was born on August 27, 1977 to the parentage of the late William H. Moon, Sr., step father, Gene Pope and Mrs. Janet Moon in Talladega County, Alabama.

James accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and later united with St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama.

James was educated in the Talladega County School system.  He was employed with Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Avondale Mills, Pursell Farms, Tyson Chicken, and Alabama Power.

James’s love for people never allowed him to meet a stranger.  He always kept you laughing and was full of energy and enthusiasm.  He loved entertaining his family and friends.  James will truly be missed by all the hearts he touched and the joyful spirit he brought to everyone he encountered.

James departed this walk of life on June 4th, 2021, in Sylacauga, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Moon, Sr., grandparents, Annie Mae Harris, Anderson Harris, Landers Moon, and Ansliea Hollie.

His love and precious memories will always be remembered and cherish by his mother, Janet Moon of Sylacauga, AL; step father, Gene Pope of Sylacauga, AL; brothers, William H. Moon, III, Michael (Peggy) Harris both of Sylacauga, AL; William Moon II, and Derrick (Tina) Harris of Oxford, AL; step sister, Gloria D. Moon - Duston of Live Oak Cove, GA; aunts, Willie (Alex) Jackson of Talladega, AL; Junita Varner of Sylacauga, AL; Brenda (Dewitt) Simmons of Sylacauga, Debra (Joe) Jones of Birmingham, AL; uncles, Andy (Angle) Harris of Sylacauga, AL; George Harris, Larry (Daisy) Moon, and Billy Moon all of Sylacauga, AL; God father, Donald Duck Nix, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
